In my project, my research question is what factors infulence fashion? My thesis statement is the fashion include many factors like history, designer, customers, culture, and stars. My purpose is to find out what fashion is, how fashion comes out. From my research I learn so far, I want to say to my audience that fashion is a attitude, the attitude to the lifestyle. Whoever you are the designer or customer or a popular star, the fashion comes out from the life. We found fashion from life, we look for beauti from the life. Therefore, everyone could be the leader of fashion, as desgners, they can make beautiful design, the good parrtern of products, they make fashion products base on they get fashion inspiration from their attitude to lifestyle. As a customers, they can decide they fashion, they choose they fashion products base on their lifestyles, so they can match their dressing so that fashion could decide by customers. As poupluar stars, they make fashion trend base on their job, sometimes, their job require them to dress fashionable, also what the dressing they choose also base their attitude to the lifestyle? So my qusetion is how the fashion comes out? who make the fashion and how to make a fashion. The other one is fashion is an attitude to the lifestyle, how important can inflence fashion? My next step to my project is to looking for some people's blog, like Edsion Chen, or some designer or popular star, I want to know where their fashion inspriation come from, and what make them to make fashion, what are their attitude to the lifestyle.

In my slideshow, I would like to talk about the famous Star influent the fashion trend. The advertisement is an important factor to decide what if a fashion could be popular. As a marketing skill, ask a famous star to make the advertisement will have great effect for the customers; also the brands can expand their prestige. The popular brands need media to let people know their products, and the famous stars are such good media. A popular star always be supported and loved by a lot fans. So what the star wear could be the hotspot in the fashion. In my slideshow, I would like to illustrate that how fashion brands use famous to help them sell their products. I will insert many pictures what are about the famous present an official with particular brand’s product. Customers watch the TV, and they may want to buy that because the famous star like pretty. Everyone wants to dress pretty and nice, so the famous stars are good model for them. They try to imitate what star wear so that they will buy the particular fashion brand’s product. So the famous star is factor which cans influent the fashion trend. The fashion brands always design their products which follow the star’s style. We can say, the famous star have the much potential to be the leader in the fashion world. Edison Chen, who is a singer and movie star in Hongkong China, he found his brand CLOT in 2003 and developed the most popular and famous fashion brand in China. The Clot became popular not only Edison Chen has the outstanding gift about fashion, but also because he is a popular star, so he has great effect to the people. So the star affection which can decide a brand if could be successful.

In my podcast, I will still talk about the fashion, however, in my porcast, I would like to change a little bit from my webtext. In the webtext, I talk about a lot about the brands history, their designer, quality,and customers. However, I think fashion is not only relate to the fashion brands, also relevent to the customer. In my webtext, I talk about some factors in the fashion, but I think I neglect one factor which is customers. So, in my podcast, I will stand on customers position to talk about fashion. In my podcast, I would like to insert a interview in my podcast. I will invite one of my friend, Zuyu Liu, to talk about fashion.
I will ask them about what they think about fashion, it means what the fashion defition in their mind.
If, there is a brand he need to choice from LV, Levis, CLOT, which one he choice? and why?
As a customer, what he think about is the most important in the fashion?

In Delisa's podcast, I hope she can exphasize the change between the past pinup and today's. It is better to illustrate the distinguish by using podcast. What is the pinup change, why people perfer this one not the old one, that could be the good main point.

In the conference with my professor, she help me to figure out my grammer problems. There are a lot of grammers in my text, like some pass tense, or I loss articles. What I think I need to care more about my grammer. Also I use the source from about. com which web site is not reliable. Moverover, I need to work on the connection between each paragraphs. The connection could make the article look like more flowly.
In Sharon comment, she give me very good advise which I think could improve my work. First she also point the About.com could not be source, and she suggest to use like Wbster's dictionary. I appricate she give me a good suggestiong to finding difintion. She mentioned that my thesis statement is not strong enough, I should promote my thesis may be change into Fashion has been developing for hundreds of years. During this time, fashion has been changing not only with the times, but with the new trends emerging as well. She said there are only citation in my texe, I need to put more in the text. Morever, I do not have recommonded reading for reader, so I need to add this in my work. There also is a link problem, my Lv source link do not work, so I need to relink it and make it right. I do not have background, so I should choose a background to fit my topic. There are some grammer mistakes and some sentences do not make sense so I have to work on it. And she said if I add a sub-heading, the information between each paragraphs will more clearly.

In my partner Sharon's work, she has a good title for it. I think it make sense, her title is Sensation-Seeking, and her artilce is follow her title. The size font and color is great, I can see the title very clearly. My partner put her name in the webtext where is under the title. She has good webtext chunk between each paragraphs. I think she use Calibri for her webtext. She has very good images whice can help with illurstate her concept. In her web-text, there are four heardings, and each one is meaningful, these headings make her article clearly and well-organize. She add 7 hyperlinks through her web-text, what I think her hyperlink is useful because there are more information about sensation seeking, so if people feel confuse in her concept, they could use the hyperlink to look for example. Sharon's thesis statement is her first sentence in her text. Her text is closely follow her thesis. She has topic sentences for each section,and each sentence can very clearly to explain what the concept come next. She has many sources, some come from books and some from google scholar.
In Sharon's work, she has logos, her text is logical connection with good concepts. There is no ethos and pathos in her work, because she did not put her personal opinion and emotion in her text.

I look for the article talk about the fashion brands characteristics. There are the article I summarize.

In Lv's article said that since from 19th century, LV's products were made by hand. For example, like the LV's trunk, the craftman arrange the leather and canvas, trapping in the tiny nails one by one to make sure the any five-letter solid pick-proof lock has an individual handmade key. This device make traveler to have only one key for their luggage. The trunk are made of 30-years-old poplar tree which was needed to dry for at least fours years.

From this article, I understand what the factor make Lv to be a top brand in the world-the quality. Lv kept their high-quality from hundred years ago. Lv gave up their production efficent but in order for their quality. I think that is the reason why Lv could develope to a top brand.

In CLOT's article said that the CLOT is a new brand which represent a new culture. This brand always cross cooperate with some famous brands like LV, Levis, Nike and so on. They re-design these brands old product with new printed. People who tired for the design from these brands would like to buy CLOT. However, CLOT has to use coopration to build their credit, and this brand need to produce something belong to their own style.

I read this article from a fashion magazine. I thinks this article is very objective. The advantage of Clot is new desgin. Their products totally overthrow the old pattern from others brands. People who like accpect new fashion would like this brand. But what I think is their production is base on what other brands made, and Clot should developed their own style without others productions.

These articles help me to find a common thing among the fashion brands. I am thinking about the fashion brands factors which can attract people to buy. I think quality is an important aspect to build credit from customers. Therefore, their customers will expand to more and more people. And the fashion brands were developed by their customers. Fashion is kind of the new things, so people who pursue fashion seem likely accept the new degsin. So the fashion brands need to keep producing new design products in order to attract people buy their products.

In today’s group work, I work with Robot. I read his article which is Designer Babies. I followed the instructions which look for main idea. And this is the main idea what I think.
The designer babies call for people’s argument about ethical issue. Some people think this technique will avoid diseases and support this technique. But some people disagree with this technique and think this technique will cause big issue in the future and should prohibits by laws.
I talk with Robot, he agrees with my main idea which he thinks is pretty similar with his.

The paraphrases I have read form the guideline from the web-site. I and Robot’s paraphrases are similar but I think his is better than me because his is briefer.
The twenties were the years that America becomes totally different with past. Drinking was limited by the laws what people couldn’t understand. Crimes was increasing, however polices can stop it. In today's class. I and Sharon talk about the hypolink, and we feel confuse about what information we need to hypolink. Rebecaa give us good suggestions, like I can hypolink the brand name to the offical web-site, also I can hypolink about Edison Chen, I wonder about I can link to his personal blogger so that people can know more about him. Moreover, I know about we need to form our web-text to single chunk, and single space between each chunk.

apply the infromation in reading to writing.

In my opinion, there is a close connection between reading and writing. When we want to write something, we need to read first. Like in this semaster, we do research base on our topic, and our souces is almost come from what we read, either online or book. Therefore, in our writing, we need the information from our reading. Reading can help us to focus on our organization. We need to pick the useful information out, and sometimes, these information form our outline, or make our writing clear. Reading can improve our writing skills. We read more, the more we can write. Reading can directly provide us information, and then we make these information to our content. Also, reading more good articles can help us to remember more glossary, and you can remember the glossary combine with your reading. Reading also can improve our sentences' structure. Like I am international students, and English is my second language, so I need to get rid off my Chinese grammer to write in English. However, I always struggle in sentence's structure. I overcome this problem by finish reading a novel which named sold. I thought my grammer have improved a lot after done much reading. So in my opinion, reading can improve our writing, and also reading is the content of our writing. Read more, write better!

I learend about intext citation. Like if I use a web-site which I found on the internet, I should describe the what information the web-site give to me. Also, I should cite in APA style in my text. I need author's name, publish data, or if in a book, I need a page number, I should give these information behind the web-site name.

About exploratory eassy, because this is a report, so I need to use third person to write my report. It will more objective and professional if I use third person. I should not put my opinion or thinking into my research. Sharry and Mika help me to work on my work citation and they help me to understand why I need to use third person.

Factors of jeans

In my topic, my thesis is fashion which includes history, designer, customer, and other factors. I think I find factors which I think are really important for my research. Through this brand’s history, I am trying to analyze the factors which have significant influent on the fashion. In 1873, the first blue jean was made by using denim which fabric’s firmness is better than the general cotton fabric. During 1870 to 1890, there was Califomia Gold Rush time, a lot of people went to Califomia and looked for their fortunes. However, their pants were unable to suffer from the poor conditions when they were working in the diggings. The miners needed pants which not only could protect their body from being harm, but also needed pants with better durable. The jeans could meet their demand. Miners were more willing to wear jeans because jeans could help them working in the mine. Therefore, people accepted jeans because jeans have better quality, like Levis ad “quality never goes out of style”. We can see that quality is prerequisite to decide whether be accept by people. Therefore, quality is an important factor to which influent fashion and fashion brands. Also I think opportunity is another factor which can influence fashion. Jeans were made at the Califomia Gold Rush, and at that time, there is no TV, and Internet, so people bought jeans because others gave positive comments. If there was no Califomia Gold Rush, people did not have much need of jeans, I do not think jeans could be popular so fast and could spread out around the America.

My thesis statment is fashion has developed for hundreds years, and it include designer, consumers and products.
Purpose: I and sherry disscust about what is purpose, and finally sherry is right, purpose is our perlimary goal to do our research, like why do we do this research. My purpsoe is analyizing the factors which influent fashion.

I have learned from the article “what is keyword”. “Keywords are the term that you enter into the search field of an online library catalog, database, electronic index, or Web search site.” In other words, it will help you to look for the information what you need. In my further study, I would use keywords, like the author’s name, title of the article or the subjects on the online library catalogs, databases, and electronic indexes. Using keywords to search will much then you look for in the index, and it will save me much time. I learned that when you search subjects, you will conduct “free text”, and all the records which include the keywords will show up. It is the same function to search web-sites. What I need to do is just type the keywords. However, if the information is too much, we need to add “descriptors” to refine our resources. Using keywords will help me to directly meet my demand, and my work will improve and efficiency.
In my topic, I will work on fashion brands. The first thing I want to know is what fashion is. I want to know the definition about fashion. Therefore my first keyword is fashion. Second, I want to introduce these brands history, also knowing their history will help me to study their development. My second keyword is history. There was the same web-site when I typed the “how Levis develop the brand”, but there was not in the same page. There was no related information about CLOT, when I typed “CLOT history.” Maybe it is a new brand also is a Chinese brand, therefore, no much information on the Google, but I found some on the Baidu which is Chinese search engine. I think keywords are very useful in my writing study. First, to my organization, keyword is my outline. Every single keyword is my one main idea; I can do my research basic on my keyword, and also prevent me to do useless work. Second, using keyword will help me to directly find out my related information which I need, what is more, is it will also refine my recourses, so that improve my work efficiency.

I think I will talk about the fashion brands which all could represent the topical fashion styles in the world. The first one I will choose L.V. L.V is come from Paris where is consider to be the most fashionable city in the world. Also L.V is the one of the top brands in the world. Its products can represent the top level of fashion products. Therefore, choose this brand have the typical characters in the world fashion. The second brands I will choose Levis. I choose this brand because Mr. Levis is jeans inventor. Jeans make a significant contribution for our today’s fashion. Jeans becomes more and more popular in the world. Also Levis is an American brand in where I have convenes to do research on it. The third one I will choose CLOT which comes from China. This is a new brand and only popular in Asia. Not much know it. One of my problem is we need to identfy one of problem within the fashion industry . I feel confuse that what problem I should be mention. Second, how can I verify the information from the internet. The third question is I need suggestion for my content. My topic – the fashion brand
I decide to choose this topic because I like shopping. It sounds like a girl’s hobby but I like this too. Not only for dressing me up look so cut, but also to meet my curiosity. Compare with China, America could be the shopping paradise. The lower cost can buy the better product than in china. According to the economic rules, human beings respond to the incentive. Therefore, I love this topic and I have enough motivation to do my work. My final goal is to share my experience with others. I want to make a shopping guide for people, and hope it could give people some useful suggestion.
My content will involve some famous and fashion brand like LV, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, there are the top fashion brands in the world. Also I want to introduce some brands for the students, like Levis, A&F, Diesel and so on. Finally I want to introduce my favorite brands like Evisu, A bathing ape, Fenom, and Y-3. If you want to know what this brands’ outstand characters, you need to know their history first. Second you want the product picture to illustrate their unique character. Where their shop locate and how you can buy are must include in my shopping guide. How much are their prices, and also I will seek for some outlet online shop store to share with people.
My problem for this project will in three aspects. The first is there will be much information for me to pick out the useful one, so I have to face the challenge of much reading. The second is if I want to illustrate their characters, I cannot just to show their all products, I need to pick one which could represent their topical characters. Challenge to Final Project

In this project we are going to do a web-site with my partner Zack. I hope it could be my best worked project so that we could have a good ending for this course. suceess always coming with challenge, we need overcome our challenge and reach our goal. Our challenge is how to combine our work. I work on jeans and Zack works on nike shoes. If we want to have a good result for our grades, we need to look for a perfect connection point. As every body know, jeans are the popular pants in the world, whatever the age, the region, people all love to wear jeans. The same situation as nike shoes. People always like to match jeans with nike shoes, so that is our connection part to work on. We can introduce how to match jeans with nike shoes and also show that with pictures, what I think it could be helpful. We hope we can have a perfect project.

This is my second time to take this courses, it is still a lot of fun. I think this class is very great because we are learing useful knowledge out of text. And we can do our project depend on what we like. It can motive to study well and more. My favorit project is project5 , because in this project I can inturduce Pairs where is the my favourite place and most place I would like to introduce. Also I use English to introduce Pairs, it improve my speaking, and this ability is useful, because you will know when you will introduce something in English. And this is my first time to use windows movie maker, so I know how to use right, I can do many things in the furture. I do not like project2, because writting is my poorest part in English is kind hard for me. And I think it is better to respone to foregin students, because it can improve our reading skills,and help us to learn American culture. I want to say to the students who will take this course, please pay attention to this course, it is a fun and esay course, dont like me , did not pay much attention about this course, and left pity. My favourite place

My favourite place is Pairs where I think is the most beautiful place in the world. I have been to Pairs when I was 15 with my mom. I like this city with long history. 19- century architecture style buliding, and good weather, quiet cricumstance. There are so many good views and places worth to visit in the Pairs, such like Avenue des Champs-Élysées， Eiffel Tower，and so on. Because I only have a week stayed in the France, so it was not enough time for me to have a good travel. Also I like the food in Pairs. The big T-bone steak, with un-cooked fish, drink champange. The franch bread has outstanding features, so I enjoyed the bread hot-pot. Shopping in Pairs is like you shopping in paradise. There are so many last fashion style clothing and top perfume in Pairs. what a pity, I did not do much shopping because I spent my porcket-money to buy chocolates and ice-cream. If I have anthor chance to travel, I would like to go to Pairs again, I love that place.

My best friend

He is my best friend who we always call him JD. He is a GA who working in the school village. Also he keep finshing his school in psychology degree. I remembered that when I first came to America, there were a lot things waited for me to do. Actually , I was so confused that to handle much things in a stronge country. JD helped me to do it, he took me to the bank, to deposit my sam cash. He took me to the phone store to got a SIM card, he took me to the market to prepared my stuffs in my room. When I was down, he always game a hand and pull my out of the trouble. Also he taught me a lot and helped me to live in an American way. He taught me how to order pizza dilever, to watch the most popluar Tv show, and to listen the most popular music. I has learned a lot from him. In order to appricate him back, I invited him to visit my home and my city Beijng. We had a very good time, what was a little pity, he did not accustom to ate so much Chinese food so that he loose 50 ponds in China, I felt sorry to him.

The basketball game

We played the basketball game on Sunday in our gym. Even though we loss the game, I still think we are a good team. I remembered tha last year we played toghter, the basketball connect us toghter, it look like we are family. We all know, we study aborad, we have no family, friends are our family. I met many friends in basketball court where I think is my happiness place. We are all basketball boys, looking forward one day, we could play like a star. No matter where you come from, we have one common ground-basketball. I like the feeling when I running on the court, I shooting over their block, I like to be a player, no one could stop me. I used to think like that. However, basketball need a team, playing basketball is a teamwork. We need five but not one! We can not owe win or loss on one person, we are a team. We don't have a good bady like American, but we also can play like them. We hold our conflident, we could control the game, let's play!

My perfect career

I want to choose be a banker for my career. My parents they are both doing work in finance. In this background where I live, they want to me be a banker, especially my father. When I was a child, I knew nothing about my career. My father wanted me to pay more attention on math because math was essential to be a banker. He thought that banker would have a good payment and also would have a good working conditions. It would be good for young man to take advanture and people would improve themselves by this exerise. working in the bank would have a stable life style, do not need go to somewhere in the world very often. I want to be a banker not only accronding to my father desire, but also I want a more excited work. In onther words, to be a banker could evoke my potential skills. MY experience in USA

I have been here for more than one year. During that period time, it happened so many things what make me happy or sad. I love basketball, I treat basketball to be my second life. Therefore participated in college basketball match was my great experence in the past year. In the series of games, our team which all were chinese, played hard for win the game. Howere, we were found that we have a long distance with Americans in physical and basketball skills. We lost almost games, but we did not lost our condifince. The distance could be make up by our hard working. I believe Chinese can play well as other races. We would more like to play with Aferica Amercian and not just play among the Chinese. Face the challenge would halp us to improve ourselves and to be more better. America where is the paradise of basketball would give me so many great experence.
